Private jet charter in Tampa
Tampa departures can mean a morning at Tampa International, a short hop to St. Petersburg Clearwater, or a quiet load at Tampa Executive. We arrange the aircraft and the operator around your schedule, then hand you one clear quote that shows the estimate and what sits behind it.

How Tampa charter quotes come together
A useful quote starts with the shape of your day rather than a price list. Tell us who is flying, which airport is closest to home or the office, and whether the return is same-day or open-ended. From there we match aircraft class to the mission: a turboprop or light jet for a run to Nassau, a midsize or super-midsize for Chicago or Denver, a heavy jet when the whole group is heading west.
Pricing is quoted as an estimate and built from the operator's hourly rate plus the pieces that vary by trip, such as airport fees, crew overnight costs and any repositioning the aircraft needs. We show the estimated range and explain what could move it before you commit, so the final invoice does not surprise you.
Who operates the aircraft you charter
We are a charter broker. The flights we arrange are flown by independent FAA Part 135 operators, and those operators hold operational control of every trip. That distinction matters: the operator, not us, supplies the aircraft and crew, sets the flight rules and answers to the FAA for how the flight is conducted.
In practice it means you get a direct line to the people responsible for the aircraft. We stay in the middle of the planning, confirm the details and keep you informed, but we do not own or fly the aircraft and we do not present someone else's fleet as ours.
What we verify before a Tampa flight
Before we confirm anything, we check that the operator holds a current FAA Part 135 certificate and that the insurance on the specific aircraft meets the trip's requirements. We also review third-party safety audit reports where they exist, because a certificate alone does not describe how an operator runs its operation.
Crew duty limits get the same scrutiny. For a Tampa departure in July, when density altitude at Tampa International can reach about 2,000 feet, performance and crew rest are not abstractions. We look at the scheduled legs, the duty day and the return, and we say so if a plan pushes the limits.
How we are paid for arranging your
We are paid by a broker fee that is disclosed as part of the quote, and the operator is paid for the flight. You see one total estimate rather than a stack of invoices from different parties, and the fee does not change based on which operator we select.
If a quote changes because the itinerary changes, we tell you what moved and why. That is the whole arrangement: a clear estimate, the operator's name on the flight, and a fee you can see before you decide.
Questions
What does a private jet charter from Tampa typically cost?
It depends on distance and aircraft. As a guide from our route data, a light jet from Tampa to New York is estimated at $9,500 to $14,000, and Tampa to Nassau at $4,000 to $6,500. Longer trips cost more: Tampa to Aspen is estimated at $17,000 to $25,500. These are estimates, not fixed prices, and the final figure depends on aircraft, dates and crew requirements.
Which Tampa airport will my flight use?
Most Tampa charters use Tampa International (KTPA), with Sheltair and Signature Aviation on the field, or St. Petersburg Clearwater International (KPIE) across the bay. Tampa Executive (KVDF) suits smaller aircraft and a quieter departure. All three sit at modest elevation, from 11 feet at KPIE to 26 feet at KTPA, and each has a long enough runway for the classes we typically arrange.
Do you operate the aircraft yourselves?
No. We are a charter broker. Every flight is flown by an independent FAA Part 135 operator that holds operational control of the trip. We check the operator's certificate, insurance and available third-party safety audit reports before we confirm, and we match the aircraft and crew to your itinerary. The operator flies the aircraft; we handle the planning and the quote.
